Linking everything together is the Plugenic Network. This can be thought of as a sub-network of the internet, another layer ontop of your email and web access that enables you to interact and use the services of Plugenic.
The network has one very special quality over the internet, that is it effectivly enables you to interact with people regardless of if they are online at that moment or not. In so doing it gets rid of the problems of timezones with long distance friends, and arranging times to be online with others. To interact you select a channel and send it to a friend, if they want to join you'll be online when you next check your email.
There are two basic types of channel that are multicast over the Plugenic network, these are:
High band: requiring a full internet (web) connection
Low band: that can be accessed anywhere with an email, even offline
Offline interactive channels can be received in the morning for example before traveling to work, and then called up on your pc's email during the day in which you interact, and then your computer will automaticly update the next time its email is connected again. Because of its extensive use of your computer's local email facilities for best results on the Plugenic network you need to specify what flavor of email you are using in your personal preferences.
