    Channel Timeout

documents library : main index ]
Why sometimes a connection to a channel may be dropped before you return.

  • See related : [ optional topics ]

The Channel Timeout is the period of time that will elapse before the Plugenic network gives up on a channel connection.

For example a channel timeout of 3 days will mean if you're inside an interactive channel and no interaction is received from anyone inside for 3 days, you'll be disconnected.

Channel Timeouts also exist when you are joining a new channel. In this instance a timeout of 3 days would mean that your agent will look for a suitable channel for 3 days and if it doesn't find one in that time, it will give up.
